English should be used as a Medium of Instruction in Higher Education in India because in the globalized world, it is necessary for our graduates to understand this language for a number of reasons. Major Recommendations to Reform Education System in India:

The Indian Education system is extremely faulty and it hampers the natural educational growth of a child.  Let’s have a look at some of the main problems in India’s education system:

Lots of children in India have no access to basic education and many students leave their studies without completing it only because of financial problems,
Students of The rich and upper middle class families get education from expensive private schools and colleges wherein their sole propriety is to pass the exam anyhow, not learn useful skills and courses which are required for getting a job after completing the education,
The private and government schools are homogeneously pathetic in smaller towns and villages,
There is lack of colleges in the country also.  Because of it, several students choose correspondence education, but don’t feel motivated while sitting at home and study through the correspondence course material.
Graduates face lots of problems in the job market because of poor quality course material and teaching in the colleges as they don’t teach essential skills and techniques that are required to get a job.
Lack of stationary materials, class rooms, lab, enough teachers for all subjects etc.
Major recommendations to reform India education system:

Free of cost education to all students till Class XII:
The state and central governments should provide free of cost education to all students in India up to 12th standard regardless of their caste, religion and economic status.  This should cover free books & online study materials, mid day meal, uniform clothing and even a place to reside to all those students whose parents are unable to afford.  For this, the government needs to allocate more budgets for educational activities and spending.
Government schools should be run by private institutes under government supervision. It will help the government reduce big spending on the high salary of government teachers and will ensure that the students are getting quality education.
School and government teachers shouldn't be engaged in Non-educational activities as it affects their studies badly and they fail to perform well in the exam,
Distant learning should be promoted so that the maximum number of students can get at least basic education,
The government must make plans to introduce the application of computer and other latest technologies in the curriculum so that students face no problem to get jobs once they complete their studies,
Cast based admission and reservation in educational institutes should be completely eliminated at all cost,
The government must take immediate steps to establish more universities and colleges so that Indian students don’t go out of the country for pursuing higher education and
The medium of instruction should not be a foreign language. The entire education should be made available in the language which is in use by the people.
