All India Pre Medical Test’ is the medical entrance examination for those seeking
admission for MBBS or BDS courses in India. The AIPMT paper tests questions
from Biology, Chemistry and Physics consisting of 180 questions in
multiple-choice form. Firstly, the student should comprehend the syllabus well.
It includes all the topics covered in your +2 level. It is not advisable to
skip any topic. Start with class XI and then move to the syllabus of class XII.
The basic concepts have to be cleared. It is useful to learn from sample papers
and question banks. Use various study techniques such as using flow charts and
mnemonics for Chemistry and Biology. For studying Physics, make a list of
formula. Study two subjects daily and gradually increase it to three. Give
special attention to Biology giving equal importance to Zoology and Botany.

To prepare for the medical entrance examinations conducted in India, it is important to purchase
books that contain question banks and sample papers. There are various exams
for MBBS. The AIIMS test consists of 200 multiple-choice questions. 60 of them
are from the 3 main subjects, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. The remaining 20
are general knowledge questions. Negative marking is given for wrong answers.
The AIPMT is a tough exam consisting of two levels; the preliminary paper
contains 200 questions of objective type. The final one has 120 questions of
the same model. The AFMC is the ‘Armed Forces Medical College’ in Pune. Besides
the same pattern of paper, they also test English language, logical reasoning,
comprehension skills and the candidate’s intelligence level. The CMC in Vellore
and the JIPMER are also popular medical colleges in India.
